So it's goodbye to my old DVCam tape camera, an old workhorse of mine for the past 12 years. A sad day, but looking forward to filming with my new 350 XDCAM camera. The future awaits in newsgathering for the BBC.

It would be silly not to...

As you can see I have new App... I have moved to my second court story of the day... Fantasies getting more elaborate.

I often think about this when filming at court....

So here I am at the Middletons residence, I lied about tea WITH the Middletons but I'm having tea with the other Press members on the road outside... Oh well, maybe one day...

In the land of TV News, you do it mostly on your own or you don't get on air. admittedly, there were a few of us on this particular live shoot, due to it being in the studio BBQ area, next to the BBC Club bar... Oh dear.

I'm filming for the BBC News today in Greenwich, London. It's the first opportunity for me to stop, get out and have a look about. Plenty of London sights can be seen from the Royal Naval College, and the Royal Observatory, the very place from which we, the British, tell everyone else in the World when they can have Elevenses...

So the fillings been done, just a bit of mopping up to do. The court case has started, and the reporter has disappeared into the courtroom. Have you ever wondered what we cameramen do whilst we wait outside, ever alert, just in case...?
