So it's goodbye to my old DVCam tape camera, an old workhorse of mine for the past 12 years. A sad day, but looking forward to filming with my new 350 XDCAM camera. The future awaits in newsgathering for the BBC.

My last post saw me going live attached to my satellite truck from a remote location. This time, I am cabled right into the news studio for a live with the BBC weather girl and for the final 5 minutes of the BBC South Today news, with the main presenter.
